NYCYF events provide opportunities for Youth Funders to network, share lessons learned, explore new challenges facing New York City youth, and examine the City’s philanthropic and public response to these issues. The network also creates venues in which local funders can learn from youth programming, research, and policy experts, both locally and nationally. In addition to in-person meetings, NYCYF uses diverse vehicles including webinars, conference calls, LIST-SERVS, and policy briefs to communicate with its constituents.

Breakfast Discussion on Our Collaboration to Connect NYC’s Youth to Next Generation Jobs
The New York City Collaborative of Boys & Girls Clubs is a collective of the eight independent Boys & Girls Clubs (Children’s Aid Society, Boys & Girls Club of Harlem, Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens, Education Alliance, Madison Boys & Girls Club, Moshulo Montiefore Community Center, Variety Boys & Girls Club) affiliated with Boys & Girls Club of America. Collectively, the Collaborative serves over 45,000 young people ages 5-18 in all five boroughs of New York City.
Their work provides positive youth development experiences that foster academic success, good health and wellness habits and strong character and leadership skills that will serve young people as they enter into adulthood.
The Collaborative will host a discussion, formally announcing our partnership; highlighting our innovative workforce development strategy to prepare Boys & Girls Club youth for employment opportunities aligned with emerging sectors within the NYC economy.
