NYCYF events provide opportunities for Youth Funders to network, share lessons learned, explore new challenges facing New York City youth, and examine the City’s philanthropic and public response to these issues. The network also creates venues in which local funders can learn from youth programming, research, and policy experts, both locally and nationally. In addition to in-person meetings, NYCYF uses diverse vehicles including webinars, conference calls, LIST-SERVS, and policy briefs to communicate with its constituents.

Restorative Justice Training

March 27th

Time:9:30 am - 4:30 pm

THIS IS AN EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITY TO BE TRAINED BY LEADING RESTORATIVE JUSTICE TRAINER, KAY PRANIS.

For the past 17 years, Kay Pranis has taught peace-making circles to support social justice efforts addressing racial, economic, class and gender inequities.

In addition to funders, we seek to invite key government stakeholders and nonprofit partners to this very special free event.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU NOW

  1. Register at nycyf@nycyouthfunders.org. You are in for a special treat.
  2. Invite one or two representatives from non-profit partners you fund or members of your board to join you at the event. Have them register (nycyf@nycyouthfunders.org) to reserve a space. (Seating is limited, by invitation only, and first come first serve.)
  3. Send Janet Kelley, Staff Coordinator of the NYC Youth Funders (nycyf@nycyouthfunders.org) the names, titles and email addresses of government stakeholders at, e.g., DOE, DOP, DOC, ACS, DYCD, NYCHA, NYPD and the Mayor’s Office, whom you suggest we invite.

Thank you for your help in making this a special event.

Please RSVP for this event at nycyf@nycyouthfunders.org
